Is your "to read" stack shrinking?

Do you love to browse book sales?

Are you in the mood for a bargain?

The Friends of Madison County Library's annual book sale in October will once again offer thousands of gently-used books and satisfyingly low prices!  DVDs, games, CDs, puzzles... and, of course, books for all ages and interests.  Don't forget to put this can't-miss week-long event on your calendar:

  • Monday, October 16, 9:00pm - 5:00pm:  Members-only sale.  If you're a member of any one of the three Friends of the Library groups in Madison County, you are invited to view and purchase from the full selection, before it's open to the public.  If you aren't yet a Friends member, or if your membership has expired, this is the perfect time to join.  New and renewal memberships will gladly be accepted at the door.

  • Tuesday, October 17 thru Friday, October 20, 9:00am - 5:00pm:  Open to the public.

  • Saturday, October 21, 9:00am - 2:00pm:  Open to the public.

Specials Each Day!  Drop in every day during the sale to see what's new!

Can you help?

  • If you have books that are in good condition that you would like to donate for this Friends fund-raiser, please contact the Madison County Public Library at 828-649-3741 to schedule a drop-off or pickup.  Gently-used CDs, games, puzzles, DVDs and VHS tapes also would be appreciated.

  • If you can help with set-up, sorting or take-down any time on Friday October 21 thru Monday October 31, please call Nancy at 828-231-4876.  Even an hour or two of your time will make a difference.
